Coronavirus – Keeping yourself safe and informed

March 5, 2020

Dear Owners and Residents,

Management and the Board recognize that concerns are growing with respect to the increased spread of the Coronavirus known as COVID-19.  Both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are monitoring the situation in real-time and have each issued some general guidance for preventing exposure to respiratory illnesses.  We believe that these organizations are the best resources for up-to-date science-based information about the Coronavirus disease.  Below are links to both organizations and we encourage all residents to regularly check these resources for the latest information.

While this situation is still evolving and warrants concern, we discourage panic as there are active steps we can take to prevent the spread of infection.  In addition to following the expert guidance of the WHO and CDC, the corporation’s staff is taking extra precautions in disinfecting door handles and elevator buttons and other frequently used surfaces in the building.  We are making hand sanitizer more readily available at the front desk and other locations throughout the building.  We encourage every household to also engage in common-sense procedures like frequent handwashing and cleaning of regularly touched surfaces.  If you do present symptoms of illness, it is advised to avoid contact with others and seek medical attention.

Thank you for your attention and helping us be proactive as a community.
